Watch David Letterman receive the 2017 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

In case you missed it Monday night on PBS, here is the edited full telecast from last month’s celebration of David Letterman for receiving the 2017 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Edited out: Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), who had introduced clips of Letterman’s “Monkey-Cam” as well as Funny or Die videos in which Letterman and Franken talked climate change.

Left in: Steve Martin and Martin Short, Stupid Pet Tricks, Jimmy Kimmel (who told Letterman “you’re as Mark Twainy as they come and you have the facial hair to prove it”), Amy Schumer, a clip of Larry Bud Melman, John Mulaney, Jimmie Walker, Norm Macdonald, Bill Murray, that clip of Letterman working the Taco Bell drive-thru that still makes me laugh out so loud even after all of these years every time I see it, a taped message from Michelle Obama, Paul Shaffer, a performance by Eddie Vedder of a Warren Zevon song, a Top 10 list, and of course, Letterman’s acceptance speech.

Roll it if you got PBS! (Video expires Dec. 18, 2017)
