Laughfest announces headliners for March 2018 celebration

Gilda’s Laughfest has announced some major headliners for its eighth annual celebration of comedy in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Among them: Trevor Noah, Tiffany Haddish, returning LaughFesters Maria Bamford and Cameron Esposito, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Bert Kreischer, Anjelah Johnson and Greg Hahn. Laughfest will take place March 8-18, 1018.

“We’re thrilled to bring such diverse talent to LaughFest 2018,” said Joanne Roehm, director of strategic initiatives and LaughFest.

The festival also features an annual Clean Comedy Showcase and a Best of the Midwest stand-up competition.

Showcasing their Clean Comedy: Jordan Carlos, Nore Davis, Aaron Kleiber, Grant Lyon, Nathan Macintosh, Keith McGill and Emma Willmann.

The Best of the Midwest competition will feature Geoffrey Asmus, Reena Calm, Mickey Housley, Joe Kilgallon, Holly Lynnea, Martin Morrow and Ali Sulton.

There are more than 200 free and ticketed shows happening across the 10 days and nights in Grand Rapids, with badges going on sale Nov. 17 at laughfestgr.org, or over the phone at 616-735-HAHA (4242). Individual tickets go on sale in January.

Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids created LaughFest in 2011.
