Roy Wood Jr. keynote speech at 2017 Radio and TV Correspondents Dinner

“For those of you who don’t know me, I am Anthony Anderson from ABC’s blackish.”

Roy Wood Jr. from Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah delivered the keynote speech Wednesday night at the 2017 Radio and TV Correspondents Association Dinner. Wood’s colleague Hasan Minhaj graduated from last year’s RTCA dinner to this year’s White House Correspondents Dinner to great acclaim.

Despite a frail voice and having to share the platform with House Speaker Paul Ryan, Wood delivered his usually great bill of goods. Humor plus relevance plus sincerity equals comedy gold. “I don’t want to get all Al Gore on you, but we’re running out of trust.”
