Ricky Gervais Is Deadly Sirius starts weekly radio show Oct. 24, 2017

Ricky Gervais, one of the first comedians to have a hit podcast, is returning to the booth to record a new weekly show exclusively for SiriusXM. Ricky Gervais Is Deadly Sirius will premiere next Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. ET. His one-hour show will air weekly on Comedy Greats channel 94, broadcast from London, New York City and anywhere else around the world Gervais may be that week.

“I started out in radio, and SiriusXM made me an offer to return that I couldn’t refuse,” Gervais said. “With 32 million subscribers, editorial control, my own playlist and absolute freedom of speech, it’s the perfect platform for me, and hopefully the listener too.”

“Ricky Gervais is undoubtedly one of the most uniquely talented comedians in the game,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. “Whether he’s starring in a beloved television show, delivering raucous stand-up before a crowd of 20,000, or skewering celebrities at an awards show, the bottom line is that Ricky is a compelling performer whose legion of fans is only growing. We’re ecstatic that he’s bringing those many talents to SiriusXM, where he’ll tackle some of life’s big mysteries, while he charms and enlightens our more than 32 million subscribers nationwide.”

Before The Office and everything else, Gervais hosted a radio show in London.

His new radio series will be a talk show, exploring conversations he feels passionate about with friends and experts in those fields. The Comic’s Comic previously posted his pilot episode of the SiriusXM series.

“Ricky Gervais Is Deadly Sirius” will air Tuesdays at 11 a.m. ET on SiriusXM Comedy Greats channel 94, with rebroadcasts later that day at 5 p.m. Eastern on Raw Dog channel 99.
