Bill Murray does a West Side Story medley with Jan Vogler and friends on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Not since William Shatner’s spoken-word music album became nostalgically and ironically hip in the 1990s have I not known what to make of something like this, but here was Bill Murray, performing a medley of West Side Story tunes alongside his classical music friends on Thursday’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Part spoken word. Part singing. Part something or other. Everyone in the audience agreed, Sharks and Jets alike, with Murray’s decision to add a line at the end, though, which speaks to the times we live in today.

Roll it.
