“I Mom So Hard” duo scores pilot deal with CBS

Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley, who boast more than 1.1 million Facebook fans for their web series, “I Mom So Hard,” just scored a pilot production commitment out of CBS, a big prize early in the development season.

CBS is pairing the duo with producer Rob Thomas (The CW’s iZombie), while Michelle Nadler (2 Broke Girls) will co-write the pilot alongside Hensley and Smedley.

I sat down with I Mom So Hard this summer at The Comedy Store to talk about their rapid rise thanks to Facebook, and how they adapted their web series for a live tour, which picks back up in October. Listen to Last Things First Episode #162: I Mom So Hard.

Today, meanwhile, they’re talking poop.
