First sitcom for CBS All Access will be Funny or Die’s adaptation of Australian comedy, “No Activity”

CBS All Access, the streaming platform for CBS, has announced its first exclusive sitcom for the network, and it’s an adaptation of an Australian series made by the funny folks at Funny or Die.

No Activity will premiere before the end of 2017, bracketing the two chapters of the first major CBS All Access series, Star Trek: Discovery.

No Activity celebrates the silliness that happens amid boredom, from two police officers who spend too much time in their patrol car, to two bumbling criminals, and more duos in inactivity. Here’s the trailer for the Australian series from 2015:

The CBS version will be executive produced by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Patrick Brammall, Trent O’Donnell, Jason Burrows and Joe Farrell, and produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Gary Sanchez and Funny Or Die.
