Point, Counterpoint, break into laughter on Late Night with Seth Meyers

I’m a big fan of Amber Ruffin’s on-air contributions to NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, but this bit takes the cake and eats it, too.

Meyers hosted a segment called “Point, Counterpoint” in which two of his writers, Ruffin and Ally Hord, would debate the merits of the new Wonder Woman movie. All goes fine and funny enough until a mishap makes them first break into cackling laughter, then break out of character to discuss the situation. As Late Night producer Mike Shoemaker described it via Twitter:

Even though it wasn’t live, why would you ever cut it? Keep the cameras rolling! Roll the clip!
