Those things and much more, plus personal items owned by dozens of Los Angeles comedians are either up for auction this week or going on sale this weekend at the Upright Citizen Brigade’s inaugural Comedy Yard Sale, with all of the proceeds benefiting the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.
Auction items are available for bidding now on eBay at comedyyardsale.
The actual yard sale will happen this coming weekend, June 3-4, 2017, inside the UCB’s Sunset theater on Sunset Boulevard.
Among the comedians offering up items from their own personal collections for late spring cleaning: Fred Armisen, Scott Aukerman, Rachel Bloom, Andy Daly, Pete Holmes, Anthony Jeselnik, Echo Kellum, Riki Lindhome, Tim Meadows, Tig Notaro, Patton Oswalt, Jordan Peele, Chelsea Peretti, June Raphael, Paul Rust, Paul Scheer, Ben Schwartz, Upright Citizens Brigade, Noel Wells, Casey Wilson, Zach Woods and more! They won’t be there, but their old stuff will be. And you can buy it from them.
Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation, House of Lies) co-founded this idea, and said: “Help do some good for an incredible organization. You can raise money for the wonderful and inspiring ACLU by buying clothes, electronics, memorabilia and more at drastically reduced prices. It warms my heart how the UCB community immediately supported this idea and cause.”
Admission to the Comedy Yard Sale is $5, with no advance tickets sold.
