Deep in today’s announcement from Just For Laughs about the big comedians coming to Montreal this July, an announcement of the creation of a fourth category of New Faces, new for 2017.
JFL is defining this fourth group of New Faces (to be announced shortly before their coming-out showcase on July 27) as “a showcase of the up-and-coming influencers and creators who, through digital content creation, are contributing to the evolution of the comedy landscape.”
New Faces: Creators will join the O.G. “New Faces,” the New Faces Characters (aka SNL auditions) and the New Faces Unrepped edition (added when too many of the “New Faces” began showing up to Montreal already having a manager and/or agent repping them).
