Hulu orders weekly talk show from Sarah Silverman, “I Love You, America”

Sarah Silverman has spoken at the 2016 Democratic national convention, offered her opinions on late-night talk shows, and showed up with sage advice and counsel last night for Pete Holmes on HBO’s Crashing.

Now she’s ready to share her thoughts, jokes and love with the rest of us on a weekly basis.

Hulu has ordered at least 10 weekly episodes of I Love You, America, a talk show starring Silverman produced by Funny or Die that’ll devote a half-hour each week to the current headlines and heartaches facing the United States.

Here’s the official logline from Hulu:

From inciting treason to telling poop jokes, Sarah Silverman has created her fair share of online chatter, but with this show she’s looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously. While it’s great to connect with like-minded people, Silverman feels it’s crucial, now more than ever, to connect with un-like-minded people. She is teaming up with producers Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, and Funny Or Die, in creating a show setting out to expose the fact that we are all the same. Oh, and it will be funny too.

No announcement yet on when Silverman’s weekly talk show will premiere.
