Spike TV plans a comedic tribute roast of Alec Baldwin

Three years after paying tribute to comedic icon Don Rickles, Spike TV is returning for another “One Night Only” special at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, but this time to celebrate actor Alec Baldwin.

Baldwin’s tribute will attract celebrity friends and comedians for a June 25 taping at the Apollo, with the special to air July 9, 2017, on Spike.

“Alec is an original and one of the greats. Heroic, complicated, legendary, brilliant and hilarious,” said Casey Patterson, Executive Producer. “When we spoke about this event he said ‘you overestimate the number of friends I have’ and I replied ‘you underestimate the number of people that will line up to have fun at your expense.’ It will be that kind of night, love and laughs.”

“I am dreading this. I am truly dreading this. But if Tracy Morgan is coming, it’ll be okay. Is Tracy coming?” said Alec Baldwin.
