Almost as if I’d just produced my annual list of comedy festivals and asked the folks at Superfly for details about their planned summer shindig with Comedy Central in San Francisco, here comes Colossal Clusterfest!

It’s happening June 2-4, 2017, at the Civic Center Plaza & Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, in San Francisco. Roll the clip!

That’s right.

A staple of Colossal Clusterfest includes interactive attractions featuring three iconic comedy shows, Comedy Central’s South Park, FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and fan favorite Seinfeld.

  • Attendees can explore the world of South Park through a themed food and drink experience served up by San Francisco’s top chefs including Chili con Carnival, the tears of Tenorman will be honored with the best chili in town, and dining at replicas of the show’s most recognized restaurants and bars such as Tweek Bros. Coffee, Raisins, Les Bos, Casa Bonita and Whistlin’ Willy’s. Fans will also be able to insert themselves into life-sized scenes built out in 2D/3D format of some of the most memorable moments in South Park’s history for a photo op and dive into nostalgia with a life size Memberberry Ball Pit experience.
  • The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia attraction brings Paddy’s Pub to life, serving thematic food and drink such as “Beef and Beer” and “Rum Ham” and hosting interactive programming unique to the show, such as Flipadelphia and pub trivia.
  • The Seinfeld attraction will feature a full scale re-creation of the show’s famous apartment, the world’s largest Festivus celebration and a smorgasbord of classic foods from “Monk’s Cafe” and “The Soup Nazi.”

On Sunday, June 4, as the festival comes to a close, Comedy Central will give its fans massive FOMO with an exclusive inside look at Colossal Clusterfest in the form of a live 90 minute on-air special. The special will be hosted by @midnight’s Chris Hardwick and will feature a team of on-the-ground comedian correspondents, taped performances, collaborations, highlights, interviews and behind-the-scenes segments from the Colossal Clusterfest weekend experience, as well as live wrap arounds from the last day. Additional information and details on the special are to be announced.

Also during the festival, Comedy Central will hold its annual Comics to Watch showcase, which features a wide range of diversely talented young comedians selected by Comedy Central in an effort to identify the best new stand-up comedians from multiple cities across the country.

I know what I’ll be doing the first weekend of June this year. How about you?

Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. PT exclusively via www.clusterfest.com.
