Gad Elmaleh to release stand-up specials in both French and English for Netflix in 2017

Mon Dieu! Gad Elmaleh, after spending the past year adjusting to life in America, is ready to report his findings in not one but two stand-up specials for Netflix in 2017.

The first, Gad Gone Wild, will debut globally on Jan. 24, 2017, and performed mostly in French.

A second special, performed in English, will premiere later in the year.

Built upon the jokes that made him famous when he started to perform overseas, Gad Gone Wild mixes English, French and Arab and entertains the audience with absurd situations he experienced and still is today in his daily life in the United States. “For a long time I’ve seen my favorite humorists on Netflix. Today this is a true honor to know that I’ll soon be among them. Netflix’s vision totally fits with mine when it comes to humor and creation crossing borders. Knowing that we can access content at any time on Netflix specially when it comes to stand up comedies joins the energy of the live performances” he said.

You can hear Gad Elmaleh, all in English, explain his move to America with me in Episode #23 of my podcast series, The Comic’s Comic Presents Last Things First.
