Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor officially join Saturday Night Live cast

Saturday Night Live has confirmed that it’s adding Melissa Villaseñor and Alex Moffat to the cast as featured players for season 42.

I told you over the weekend that they were both finalists for the gig, along with Chris Redd, who had The Lonely Island vouching for him after his breakout turn in their new movie, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

You can watch and read about Villaseñor here.

Moffat is a veteran of the Chicago comedy scene who co-starred in an aborted NBC sketch comedy series with Redd in 2014. For Election 2016 watchers, you’ll also want to know that he has been portraying Bill Clinton in “Hill n’ Bill: A Billary Broadway Musical Karaoke Spectactular,” both in Chicago and Los Angeles.
