Denis Leary updates classic song with James Corden: “Trump’s an Asshole”

Denis Leary’s first big comedy song celebrated how he’s an asshole.

More than two decades later, Leary updated the song with a parody version targeting Donald Trump. Leary appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night, dressed as Bill Clinton accompanied by Corden as Hillary Clinton in a sketch putting them at the podium of last week’s Democratic National Convention.

“Folks, I’d like to sing a song about the American dream. About me, about you and about Donald Trump, and that special feeling we all get whenever he speaks,” Leary said.

Corden added: “You know, maybe he’s talking from the bottom of his heart. Maybe below his heart. Maybe he’s talking out of his ass. We don’t know.”

They first mocked themselves as the Clintons, before saying, well, they’re not nearly as bad as The Donald. Despite what the CBS standards and practices censors might want to bleep, the message comes through pretty loud and clear. Roll it!
