Nick Kroll and John Mulaney will bring “Oh, Hello” to Broadway

Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland are headed to Broadway.

“Oh, Hello!” Indeed.

The elderly Upper West Side theater-loving characters created by Nick Kroll and John Mulaney have been performing as Gil and George for years, first in improv shows, then on Comedy Central’s Kroll Show, then Off-Broadway, and recently on tour. This September, they’ll return triumphantly to Broadway, announcing the move Sunday night on Facebook Live.

Previews begin Sept. 23, 2016, at the Lyceum Theatre, with an official opening Oct. 10, and running through Jan. 8, 2017.

From the description for Oh, Hello On Broadway:

“Directed by subversive visionary Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), OH, HELLO ON BROADWAY is Gil and George’s pull-no-punches “memoir for the stage”—a laugh-a-minute two-man tour-de-force that’s part scripted, part spontaneous comedy, and totally unprecedented.”
