HBO adds live half-hour episodes of Real Time with Bill Maher during 2016 Republican and Democratic national conventions

HBO announced today that Real Time With Bill Maher will broadcast four additional live half-hour episodes in July during the national conventions for the Republican and Democratic political parties.

The episodes will air from Maher’s Los Angeles studio at 11 p.m. Eastern, 10 p.m. Central (tape-delayed for Mountain and Pacific) on Wednesday July 20, and Thursday July 21 after nightly proceedings at the RNC, and then again Wednesday July 27 and Thursday July 28 after the DNC proceedings. Maher will deliver real-time monologues and have three in-studio panel guests for each half hour.

Real Time also will air its regular hourlong Friday episodes both weeks at 10 p.m. Eastern.

HBO already has renewed Real Time for a 15th season with 35 more weekly episodes in 2017.
