Ricky Gervais on returning to stand-up after six years “if you don’t count the Golden Globes”

Jimmy Fallon asked Ricky Gervais on Monday’s episode Tonight Show about the news that Gervais is returning to stand-up comedy after a six-year absence. Gervais replied that he’s about to do a few “warm-ups” in the coming month — and then qualified his answer about not doing stand-up in the past six years.

“If you don’t count the Golden Globes. Which is basically me insulting people. For three hours.”
