AMC will add “Talking Saul” to Chris Hardwick’s hosting duties

Chris Hardwick already has a new season of Talking Dead to look forward to on Sunday nights this winter and spring, and now AMC has added at least two more hours of live TV hosting duties for Hardwick — announcing two editions of Talking Saul to follow the season two premiere and finale episodes of Better Call Saul.

Those will happen at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, and April 18, 2016.

Series creators and executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould and star Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy McGill) will appear as guests on the show’s debut episode.

Better Call Saul, of course, is the Emmy-nominated prequel to the Emmy-winning series, Breaking Bad. Its first season also earned Critics Choice Awards for Odenkirk as well as Jonathan Banks, starring as earlier, younger versions of their characters in New Mexico before they got mixed up in Breaking Bad’s meth shenanigans.

Quotes from the official announcement!

“The ‘Talking’ franchise really started as a way to serve the fans by harnessing and providing a focal point for discussion around our original programming, and heading into its second season it’s clear Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould and everyone associated with ‘Better Call Saul’ have given rise to both a vibrant fan community and plenty to talk about,” said Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV. “We are excited to have Chris Hardwick on board as host to engage the show’s dedicated and loyal fans – many of whom have followed the characters of Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut since ‘Breaking Bad’ – in a meaningful and entertaining conversation around the series.”

“Talking Saul” is produced by Embassy Row with executive producers Michael Davies, Hardwick, Jen Patton, Brandon Monk and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
