Episode #61: truTV’s “Those Who Can’t” red carpet premiere

Those Who Can’t, teach.

Those who can, pitch a TV show about the follies of three high-school teachers as a sitcom, and not only get it on the air, but also pack it so full of jokes and funny people that truTV already has ordered a second season of Those Who Can’t before tonight’s debut. I’ve already spoken with the show’s stars — Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy — about their backstories forming The Grawlix comedy collective in Denver, as part of Episode #29 of the Last Things First podcast. I reconnected with the fellas, as well as co-star Maria Thayer and recurring guest stars Susie Essman, Randy Sklar, Britney Young, Madison Iseman and Libe Barer, on the red carpet for their premiere party last month in Hollywood. In this special episode, I asked them what they did before making it big in comedy and acting — and what they would do first if they couldn’t do this.

So let’s get to it!
