Franchesca Ramsey joins The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore as correspondent/writer

Franchesca Ramsey will join The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore as a new writer and correspondent this week, making her first appearance on Tuesday night’s show.

“We’re very excited to have Franchesca and her tremendous skill set join the show. We were just going to hire her skill set, but we agreed to hire her as well. So it’s a win-win,” said Wilmore.

Ramsey (@chescaleigh) already is based in NYC and hosts the MTV web series “Decoded.” From her YouTube channel, “Chescaleigh”‘s “Sh*t White Girls Say…to Black Girls” video from January 2012 racked up more than 11 million views and counting. Ramsey’s two YouTube channels have more than 250,000 subscribers combined and more than 26 million views. Chescaleigh focuses on comedy; Chescalocs, on beauty, natural hair care and styling.

She joins The Nightly Show contributor cast of Rory Albanese, Jordan Carlos, Grace Parra, Robin Thede, Ricky Velez, Holly Walker and Mike Yard.
