The 58th annual Grammy Awards announced the full slate of nominations this morning, and somewhere Nikki Cox is telling her husband told you so. Cox wrote Jay Mohr’s latest stand-up special, Happy. And A Lot. Which is up for Comedy Album of the Year.
I’ve written plenty about the Grammys and their penchant for bringing back returning nominees year after year no matter what the rest of the industry has done in the past nomination year (which runs Oct. 1, 2014, to Sept. 30, 2015). But we’ll have plenty more time to talk about what to do with the Grammys. For now, let’s celebrate the comedians nominated not only in Comedy Album of the Year but also across the board of Spoken Word and other categories!
