Megan Gailey’s late-night debut on Conan

Back in my day, you knew you made it when you could go on TV and say “Hi Mom!” to the camera. Now the kids have the social media and can make their own Instagrams or Vines to shout out their parents. Gailey was a breakout star at this summer’s New Faces in Montreal, and she soaked up her moments on Conan, from the opening applause breaks to the end, in between joking about her basic white name and her parents — explaining the difference between Irish Catholics and Irish Protestants for the rest of the world.
