Baskets, the new FX comedy debuting in 2016 and starring Zach Galifianakis as a clown, released this new clip showing that “Baskets” wasn’t his first choice for a clown name. But there’s no crying in baseball, and no “Renoir” in this clown outfit.
At least that’s my impression. What’s yours? Roll the clip!
Baskets was co-created and co-written by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel. Krisel also directed the pilot. The trio executive produce with Blair Breard, Dave Becky, Marc Gurvitz, and Andrea Pett-Joseph.
The plot? “In a world constrained by corporate interests and the homogenization of society, one man in Bakersfield, California dares to follow his dream of becoming a professional clown. But after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo.”
UPDATED with four more short scenes to tease your eyeballs and ear holes!
