Episode #21: Seaton Smith

Seaton Smith came to your attention earlier in 2015 playing the character Motif on FOX’s sitcom, Mulaney. Since then, he has told jokes on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, and spoken his mind on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.

I was fortunate to know Smith as early as 2009 at the first Bentzen Ball comedy festival in Washington, D.C., where he was still living at the time. We reminisced about that, and Smith told me about his start in the D.C. comedy scene, what he learned at an even younger age performing stand-up in a talent show at 10, what he learned from John Mulaney, Martin Short and Elliott Gould working on Mulaney, and everything in between.

He just released his first stand-up comedy CD, Bologna Meat – Seaton SmithVulture named Smith one of the 50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015, so let’s get to know him!
