by TV Land loves how its summer looked so far, as the cable network announced renewals for both of its new series currently on the air, The Jim Gaffigan Show and Impastor.
“We’re really proud of these shows that represent the new TV Land,” said Keith Cox, TV Land’s Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming. “They have quality writing and great casts, and we’re excited to move on to season two for both.”
Gaffigan’s show, co-created and co-written by Jim and Jeannie Gaffigan and loosely based on their own lives as comedy partners with five kids in New York City, has averaged 4 million viewers each week with simultaneous airings on both TV Land and Nick at Nite at 10 p.m. ET/PT Wednesdays. Episodes also repeat at 8 p.m. ET/PT Thursdays on Comedy Central.
It’s also featured a bunch of comedians also playing themselves (full disclosure: myself included).
Impastor, which follows Gaffigan on Wednesday nights, has averaged 2.8 million viewers weekly.
