Jimmy Kimmel Live coming home to Brooklyn once more, one week in October 2015

Jimmy Kimmel Live has this week and next off for summer vacation, but come October, Kimmel will be leaving Los Angeles for a working vacation — as he’s set to return to Brooklyn for a week in October 2015. BAM!

As in Brooklyn Academy of Music, where ABC’s JKL set up shop at the end of October three years ago, coinciding accidentally with Superstorm Sandy’s arrival in the Tri-State area.

Reported first by Bill Carter in THR and confirmed by Kimmel on Twitter, the news of Kimmel’s return to his native Brooklyn comes today as ABC takes its turn in the Summer Press Tour with the TV Critics Association (TCAs).

No ticket info is online yet for JKL in Brooklyn, but if it’s anything like 2012, it’ll be amazing. Kimmel welcomed his hero David Letterman as a guest that week — plus Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, Howard Stern and Tracy Morgan, and more. Actually. Check that. Even if he just duplicated that guest list in October 2015, it’d be AMAZING TV.
