President Barack Obama weighed in on Bill Cosby’s Medal of Freedom, rape allegations

That moment when the president of the United States takes a moment during a news conference about a nuclear agreement with Iran to weigh in on dozens of rape allegations against comedy legend Bill Cosby.

President George W. Bush awarded Cosby the Medal of Freedom in 2002.

Would President Barack Obama ask for it back?

“There’s no precedent for revoking a medal,” Obama said. “We don’t have that mechanism.”

“I’ll say this. If you give a woman or a man for that matter, without his or her knowledge, a drug, and then have sex with that person without consent, that’s rape. And I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.”

Which is essentially what Cosby said he had done in a 2005 court deposition.
