John Cleese and Eric Idle touring North America as a duo in Fall 2015

Monty Python may have bid us all a fond farewell last summer, but that doesn’t mean we cannot have nice things from the old boys from Britain.

And so it shall be that John Cleese and Eric Idle will tour as a duo this October in America.

This morning they announced the first leg of their new touring production, “John Cleese & Eric Idle: Together Again At Last…For The Very First Time.”

Cleese and Idle will tell tales tall and short, perform musical numbers, improvise sketches, screen exclusive footage and take questions from the audience at each stop on the tour, which begins Oct. 2, 2015, and runs at least through month’s end. Stops include Sarasota, Ft. Meyers, West Palm Beach, Miami, Clearwater, Orlando, Savannah, Atlanta, Charlotte, Baltimore, and more!

In the announcement, they note: “Yes, most of the shows are in Florida. Yes, this is a deliberate ploy by John & Eric to score a free vacation. Yes, they’re perfectly okay with you knowing that. England is very dreary come October.”

In addition to co-founding Monty Python, Cleese and Idle also have a successful track record in stage and screen comedy that includes Spamalot, A Fish Called Wanda, Fawlty Towers and The Rutles.

To whet your appetite, here’s an hour of Cleese and Idle just talking!
