Watch Keegan Michael Key rehearse his Luther “Anger Translator” with President Barack Obama inside the White House

In case you missed it last week, President Barack Obama surprised the White House Correspondents’ Dinner by bringing out his “anger translator,” Luther — aka comedian Keegan-Michael Key, who portrays the character as a recurring bit in Comedy Central’s Key & Peele.

The White House released footage over the weekend of Obama and Key rehearsing their jokes and banter, with Obama loving Key’s instruction for the audience to hold onto their “lily-white butts” and references to Khaleesi from HBO’s Game of Thrones, and also accurately predicted that his First Lady Michelle Obama would go along with Key’s crack at the president’s expense.

You can see how well that worked out. Roll the clip!

Practice?! Yeah, we're talking about practice. Take a look behind the scenes with President Obama and "Luther," his anger translator: https://go.wh.gov/P8YHiz
