Doug Stanhope inks deal to write his memoir

Look. You know that I know that we all know lots of comedians have written memoirs in the past few years, but I think we all can agree that none of them will reveal as many surprises and cold hard truths (and certainly some wild tales and recollections that may deviate from your truth) as the forthcoming autobiography from Doug Stanhope.

Which now, we can report, is forthcoming!

Stanhope’s manager, Brian Hennigan, revealed the book deal today.

As seen above, Stanhope’s untitled memoir will be published April 2016.

In the meantime, you can hear how Stanhope’s “Tin Can Rehab” effort is going via his daily podcasts, which hit day 30 without a smoke on March 19.

And you can wish him a happy birthday on Wednesday!
