Josh Robert Thompson, aka the voice of robot skeleton “Geoff Peterson,” performing stand-up on The Late Late Show

Fans of Craig Ferguson’s version of The Late Late Show on CBS received a special treat this week when his robot skeleton sidekick returned to the show to perform stand-up. Well, the guy who provided the voice of “Geoff Peterson” did, anyhow, which may have caused you to readjust your eyeballs to match your ear holes.

Josh Robert Thompson‘s his name, and for his stand-up game on this evening, he dipped into his impersonations of Morgan Freeman and Matthew McConaughey as the hypothetical voices of his car’s GPS. Thompson also demonstrated how TV’s Dr. Oz isn’t always up on his medical facts. Without his glasses, Thompson seems to look like Robert DeNiro but sound like Liam Neeson. Go figure.

Thompson is opening for Ferguson’s live shows this weekend at Town Hall in New York City.
