Funny or Die moves “Billy on the Street” to TruTV for season four, jumps for joy with Michelle Obama and Big Bird

Funny or Die has moved Billy Eichner’s game-show-on-the-street Billy on the Street from Fuse to TruTV for its upcoming fourth season, and the deal also includes for repeat airings on TBS, plus a development hold on Eichner for future pilots, projects and specials on all of Turner’s cable channels.

TBS president David Levy told The Hollywood Reporter: “This deal is a great opportunity to tap into and expand the Billy phenomenon using the power of the Turner portfolio. No other media company has the assets and the reach — especially among Generation X, Millennials and Generation Edge viewers — to pull off this kind of multilayered deal. The Turner networks are going to be the perfect home for Billy’s brilliant comedic talents and his growing legion of young fans.”

Eichner already also has a new Hulu series upcoming co-starring his Billy on the Street head writer, Julie Klausner, called Difficult People.

And now after today, he can say he has hosted a special edition of his show with First Lady Michelle Obama, Big Bird and favorite past contestant Elena. Here’s his latest video from Funny or Die, helping out FLOTUS and Sesame Street with their “Eat Brighter” campaign, playing games such as “Ariana Grande or Eating a Carrot?”
