Conan O’Brien has enjoyed great success when he leaves his late-night TV studios, whether at NBC or now TBS, to journey out for remote field pieces, whether they’ve been in New York City, Hollywood, Burbank or even off to Ireland and Finland.
Over his four-day President’s Day weekend, O’Brien revealed that he took a small camera crew to Cuba and filmed enough remote pieces there for a special episode of Conan that’ll air Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
He first broke the news Monday night via Twitter, writing: “I just spent the last four days shooting my show all around the city of Havana. I made countless friends and had one of the best experiences of my life. Many laughs, but that could also be the rum. Watch #ConanCUBA March 4th.”
O’Brien then opened his Tuesday episode of Conan with a few monologue jokes about his long Cuban weekend, followed by an additional thought or two from behind the desk.
