Gabriel Iglesias to play Madison Square Garden in April 2015

And Fluffy makes 10.

Madison Square Garden announced today that Gabriel Iglesias will perform in New York City’s midtown Manhattan arena on April 17, 2015. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 6.

“Fluffy” already is on an arena tour this week and through the winter/spring. But MSG still has a pull and allure that only a handful of stand-up comedians have cracked. In fact, it’s now two handfuls, as Iglesias will become only the 10th comedian to play the arena (several others have played MSG’s smaller theater space). The others? Steve Martin, Andrew Dice Clay, Dane Cook, Chris Rock, Eddie Izzard, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Russell Peters and Louis CK.

The number of stand-ups playing The Garden arena has doubled in just the past two years, with Hart, Ansari, Peters, CK and now Iglesias making the leap to the biggest stage.

All men, mind you. Ladies? Care to make it 11?

Iglesias is continuing his Unity Through Laughter Tour, which you may have seen on the big-screen last year in his Fluffy Movie.

Iglesias has recently appeared in A Haunted House 2 and provided voices for animated films The Nut Job, Disney’s Planes and The Book of Life; and he’ll reprise his role as Tobias with Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum in Magic Mike XXL, due out this Fourth of July weekend.

Tickets are available to the general public at noon Friday through Ticketmaster Charge By Phone (1-866-858-0008) and all Ticketmaster Outlets. Tickets will also be available in person at MSG, Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre Box Offices beginning Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015.
