Louis CK adds fourth MSG arena show; filmed “Live at the Comedy Store,” coming this spring online, then on FX

Louis CK already has his next stand-up special in the can as he continues to take victory laps around Madison Square Garden, adding a fourth show for next week.

As he wrote to fans, “I mean, if you keep buying the tickets, I have to keep doing the shows. My third show at Madison square garden on Saturday is nearly sold out. That happened even faster than the show before it. And both of the shows that I’ve done there have been intensely fun. So I’m going to add another show. Tuesday January 27th I’ll be at MSG again at 8pm. Buy tix here:

Last month, CK filmed his shows at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood, which will debut soon online exclusively on his website as “Louis C.K.: Live From The Comedy Store.”

That news also came out this week during the FX Networks appearance at the Winter Press Tour of the TV Critics Association, as FX’s CEO John Landgraf announced that FX would get first dibs at broadcasting the special this spring. FX arranged a similar deal with CK’s first special that he debuted online, “Live at the Beacon Theater.”

He has won Emmys for his past two specials, the Beacon one from 2012 and his 2013 HBO special, “Oh My God,” as well as the Grammy for the album on his third special, “Hilarious.”

The fifth season of CK’s Emmy-winning series, Louie, meanwhile, will debut April 9 on FX. Only planned for eight episodes, it’ll be paired with the launch of FX sitcom, The Comedians, starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad.
