In this exclusive, new, behind-the-scenes clip, the four fellas from Staten Island let us in on some of their secrets from the sight of one of their gags — it’s a special DVD extra on their brand-new three-disc collection, Impractical Jokers: The Complete Second Season, which went on sale this week. On TV, Sal Vulcano, Joe Gatto, James Murray and Brian Quinn’s antics — challenging each other to ridiculous dares and improvised instructions via hidden cameras and microphones, and airing all of the dirty results — has been going strong for the past three years. Season 2 averaged 6.6 million viewers weekly. Season 3 debuted earlier this year, and truTV even granted the guys their own post-show talk show this fall, Jokers After Party.
Offstage, they were known first and foremost as The Tenderloins — meeting in high school and forming their first comedy troupe in 1999. You can hear The Tenderloins banter on podcasts and see them live on tour. Next week, you can do both if you’re in NYC.
