HBO will wrap up Stephen Merchant’s “Hello Ladies” with “Hello Ladies: The Movie”

If you thought that Stephen Merchant’s Hello Ladies said goodbye already back in 2013, then you’ve got a second coming coming.

HBO will wrap up the show’s initial eight-episode storyline with an 80-minute Hello Ladies: The Movie, that debuts Nov. 22 on the cable channel and wherever your HBOGo goes.

Here’s a tease. Roll the clip!

Merchant similarly had wrapped up storylines for his TV projects with Ricky Gervais — The Office and Extras — with extra-long goodbye specials.

For Hello Ladies: The Movie, we find Merchant’s “Stuart” trying to impress his ex-girlfriend, who’s visiting Los Angeles from Britain with her husband in tow. So he recruits a Russian model to pretend she’s his girlfriend. Awkward comedy ensues.

Hello Ladies, which debuted on HBO in September 2013, told the story of Stuart Pritchard, a gawky 6’7″ English transplant seeking excitement and romance in Los Angeles, and usually failing. His co-stars from the eight-episode series — Christine Woods (Jessica), Nate Torrence (Wade), Kevin Weisman (Kives) and Kyle Mooney (Rory) in his biggest pre-SNL break — reappear in the movie. Sean Wing and Crista Flanagan also show up in the movie.
