Jerrod Carmichael sponsors a PeeWee Football team to promote his HBO special

To show he’s not just man, but also human, stand-up comedian Jerrod Carmichael has sponsored a PeeWee Football team.

Of course, it’s all just in jest — to promote Carmichael’s first HBO comedy special, “Love at the Store,” directed by Spike Lee and premiering on Oct. 4, 2014.

For football synergy, this Funny or Die short film also features The League‘s Stephen Rannazzisi.

And here is a more traditional teaser for Carmichael’s HBO special.

Carmichael will embark on a quick cr0ss-country stand-up tour so you can see in person what everyone else with an HBO or HBOGo subscription will see on your TV and computers next month. The dates and info are below.
