The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to visit Austin for Election 2014 coverage

Rick Perry, you’re on notice!

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will head to Austin, Texas, for a week of shows leading up to Election Day 2014, broadcasting in the capital city where the indicted Texas governor still rules.

“Democalypse 2014: South by South Mess” will be taped at ZACH Theatre in Austin, airing 11 p.m. ET/PT from Monday, Oct. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014. Tickets to watch in the live studio audience are only available via Comedy Central’s The Daily Show tickets site.

The Daily Show promises to cover political midterm election races across the country, and not just from Texas, that week.

This will be the show’s 11th “Indecision” road trip.

Previous excursions: Philadelphia (2000 RNC), Los Angeles (2000 DNC), Boston (2004 DNC), Denver (2008 DNC), Minneapolis (2008 RNC), Tampa (2012 RNC) and Charlotte (2012 DNC) for national conventions; and Washington, D.C. (2002), Columbus, OH (2006) and D.C. again (2010) for special midterm election coverage.

    1. The Minuteman Project welcomes the Daily Show With Jon Stuart to the Texas border. We need all the volunteer border observers we can get down there.

We look forward to working hand-in-hand with the Daily Show’s production crew. Bring a tent and sleeping bag.
