Future generations may believe Mel Brooks had 11 fingers thanks to his handprint at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood

On Monday, Mel Brooks joined the select group of movie stars who have immortalized their handprints and footprints in the cement outside the iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Then Brooks told Conan O’Brien how he successfully snuck in an 11th finger — six fingers instead of five on his left hand — when he imprinted his mark in the cement.

Nicely done, Mel. Nicely done.

Grauman’s on Hollywood Boulevard was renamed Mann’s in 1973, then renamed TCL Chinese Theatre in 2013.
