Syfy casting for NCredible Improv sci-fi/fantasy challenge series with Nick Cannon

That’s Incredible was a popular variety/reality TV series in the early 1980s.

This NCredible Improv series on Syfy, casting this summer with an air date to be determined, is the brainchild of Nick Cannon. NCredible is Cannon’s branding for his entertainment management company as well as his merchandising.

Syfy announced the development deal Wednesday with executive producers Cannon and Michael Goldman.

Syfy is an NBCUniversal cable property, putting in the same corporate family with Cannon’s highest-profile gig, hosting summer series America’s Got Talent on NBC. Cannon also is no stranger to improv competitions, serving as host and executive producer of Wild’N Out, in its sixth season, on MTV2.

His Syfy project is slated as a weekly one-hour improv/sketch challenge taped in front of a live studio audience, with two teams — the home team, made up of four to six name comedians, vs. a different away team each week. All of the challenges will be sci-fi/fantasy-related.

NCredible and Syfy will put out a nationwide casting call later this summer to seek out away team candidates.
