Mark Normand on Conan and The Half Hour this week: Still Got It!

Mark Normand returned to Conan on Wednesday night to defend sluts, of all people. Sluts, he tells ya!

It’s a big week for Normand. The stand-up comedian, based in New York City but originally from New Orleans, also just released his first stand-up comedy album and will see his first half-hour TV special air this weekend on Comedy Central’s The Half Hour. Normand jokes that he rebelled against his neighborhood by adopting a voice that’s distinctly “1940s auctioneer.” And even his comedy feels like a bit of a throwback. Almost as if he had a heart-to-heart sit-down with Don Rickles in secret and Rickles passed a small flickering torch down to him. Either way: “Still Got It!”

That’s the name of his new record, by the way.

I profiled Normand in my Meet Me In New York series back in 2010. Check out his lucky track jacket: Still got it!
