Adult Swim’s 2014-2015 programming includes a Mike Tyson cartoon and a Jack McBrayer-Triumph the Insult Comic Dog buddy comedy

Norm Macdonald and Jim Rash will voice a cartoon series this fall solving mysteries with boxing great Mike Tyson — and that’s not the only odd buddy-buddy series coming this fall and winter to Adult Swim.

The late-night bastion of the Cartoon Network unveiled its upcoming programming today (it’ll make a formal Upfronts presentation next week), and it includes the Mike Tyson Mysteries, a live-action pairing of Jack McBrayer with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, an imagining of Black Jesus in modern-day Compton, a pilot from Jon Glaser about a werewolf hunter, bedtime stories from Tim & Eric and more.

A look at each of the new series:

Black Jesus (coming this summer): Half-hour live-action scripted, from Aaron McGruder of The Boondocks fame. Stars Gerald “Slink” Johnson as Black Jesus, living in Compton, Calif., and co-stars Charlie Murphy, Corey Holcomb and John Witherspoon. Production team: 5 Mutts Productions, McGruder, Mike Clattenberg, Norman Aladjem, John Bravakis.

Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories (coming this summer): Tim Heidecker & Eric Wareheim return with an anthology series. Live-action half-hours.

Mike Tyson Mysteries (coming this fall): Half-hour animated, from Warner Bros. Animation. Tyson solves mysteries with his Mystery Team, which includes the Ghost of the Marquess of Queensbury, Mike’s adopted Korean daughter, and a pigeon who was once a man. With some live-action sequences?! Co-stars Norm Macdonald, Rachel Ramras and Jim Rash.

Mr. Pickles (coming this fall): Fifteen-minute animated, from Will Carsola and Dave Stewart, about a pet dog who’s a very bad dog.

Untitled Triumph/McBrayer Sitcom (launch date TBA): Half-hour live-action scripted, with McBrayer playing a former child star from a 1980s TV series that also starred Triumph. They reunite 15 years later. Created by Robert Smigel, Michael Koman and David Feldman. Produced by Poochie Doochie Productions and Universal Television.

Inspired, perchance, by this 2012 remote segment filmed while Conan O’Brien and Team Coco visited Chicago in 2012? Roll the clip!

The Venture Bros. Special (launching later this year): An hour-long animated adventure into space from the series created and directed by Jackson Publick, and written by Publick with Doc Hammer.

PILOTS

Dream Corp LLC: Live-action and rotoscope hybrid, from Daniel Stessen and John Krasinski. About an experimental therapy facility that creates a virtual reality for patients to confront issues in their waking life by simulating their wildest dreams, led by Dr. Roberts (Jon Gries).

Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter: Created by Jon Glaser, about a neon-clad man in small-town Vermont with a certain set of skills.

Untitled World Star Hip Hop Project: Live-action single-cam from the popular website featuring celebrity guests.
