Spike Lee directing Katt Williams 2014 “Growth Spurt” HBO special

Katt Williams told us he was coming back. He told us just last week on Arsenio.

Spike Lee just directed a young comic’s first HBO stand-up special last night with Jerrod Carmichael.

On May 17, 2014, Lee will direct Katt Williams in his big comeback, also for HBO — as Williams tapes his stand-up performance that night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. Tickets are $29-$109 (plus fees).

Williams previously appeared on HBO in the 2006 special “The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1,” as well as “Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam.” His 2014 special is produced for HBO by New Wave Entertainment; executive producers, Brian Volk-Weiss and Katt Williams; director, Spike Lee.
