Deadline extended to May 16 to pitch your TV/web project to Just For Laughs ComedyPro Conference

If you’ve got a great TV or webseries pitch and don’t know where to go next, how about Montreal?

Just For Laughs, the biggest comedy confab of the year, once again is hosting a “Pitch Your Project” contest for makers of TV series and webseries alike. JFL has extended its deadline by one additional week, giving you until May 16, 2014, to submit for this July.

There are two separate pitch contests:

1 – FROM SET TO SCREEN: THE TV COMEDY SEARCH 2014: A joint project from NYTVF and Just for Laughs (JFL). Five finalists will be selected to pitch live during the event before a panel of comedy experts, with one winner selected for exclusive participation as an Official Artist at the 2014 New York Television Festival in October. Scripted and unscripted comedy projects are welcomed. From Set To Screen: The TV Comedy Search 2014

2 – PITCH ‘TIL YOUR SIDES SPLIT: WEB SERIES PITCH PROGRAM 2014: A joint project from IAWTV and Just for Laughs. A maximum of five (5) projects will be selected and presented to a panel of leading comedy industry executives and decision-makers in an open-forum pitch session. The winner will be selected to receive a full – year membership in the IAWTV as well as a pair of tickets to the 2015 IAWTV Awards, held in conjunction with CES in Las Vegas. Pitch ‘Til Your Sides Split: Web Series Pitch Program 2014

Both competitions are open to submissions worldwide. Selected finalists will receive Industry passes to JFL in Montreal in late July.
