Pete Holmes, E*Trade grow out of talking baby ad campaign? Baby quits ad!

Is this the end for the E*Trade talking baby, voiced by comedian Pete Holmes since the 2010 Super Bowl?

That’s what this new TV ad, which began airing Thursday night during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament (aka March Madness) suggests. Perhaps it was the singing sidekick, that darned cat, that got his tongue? Roll the clip!

Of course, Holmes has a much higher profile and higher-profile gig now than he did four years ago, as he hosts The Pete Holmes Show late-night Mondays-Thursdays on TBS.

And E*Trade recently switched ad agency reps last year, moving from Grey to Ogilvy & Mather. No doubt the new agency wants to launch its own campaign.

Anyhow, Pete’s all growns up now!
