Behind the scenes and trailer for HBO’s “Silicon Valley”

HBO unveiled a trailer and behind-the-scenes footage for its upcoming eight-episode first season of Silicon Valley, which stars Thomas Middleditch as a computer programmer living with his friends (Josh Brener, Martin Starr and Kumail Nanjiani) in the home of another dot.com millionaire played by T.J. Miller, as they all seek to launch the next big thing in tech. Zach Woods also stars. The series debuts April 6.

Here’s the extended trailer!

Silicon Valley comes from the mind of Mike Judge, who was a Silicon Valley engineer in the 1980s before creating Beavis and Butt-Head and King of the Hill and Idiocracy, and here Judge explains his reasoning behind capturing life on the inside of the web/tech bubble:

Judge also directs four of the first eight episodes.

Judge co-created the series with John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky. He executive-produces with Altschuler & Krinsky, Alec Berg, Michael Rotenberg and Tom Lassally. Producers: Jim Kleverweis and Chrisann Verges. Writers: Judge, Berg, Altschuler, Krinsky, Clay Tarver, Dan O’Keefe, Ron Weiner, Carson Mell, Jessica Gao and Matteo Borghese and Rob Turbovsky.
