Adult Swim’s Fun House heads back out for a second tour of America’s adult youth

Who says bouncy castles are just for kids?

Adult Swim is bringing its castle-sized, 15-room inflatable “Adult Swim Fun House” back out on the road for a nationwide tour this spring. The Adult Swim Fun House debuted last year in Atlanta and also made an appearance in San Diego at Comic-Con.

Here’s a video of what that looked like last summer!

The Adult Swim Fun House 2014 Tour is free for ages 18 and older and landing on 10 college campuses over 12 weeks, starting Feb. 20 at University of California, Riverside.

The 40-foot tall inflatable castle features 15 distinct rooms themed after popular Adult Swim shows including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Childrens Hospital, Loiter Squad, Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken and Squidbillies.

Depending upon your path through the castle, you’ll have crawl, slide or sing your way toward the exit. There’s a “Karaoke Cage,” a “Tippy Tunnel,” and more. It’s sponsored by Ice Breakers Mints and KFC, so you’ll get free samples of those, too, as well as live screen printed t-shirts.

Corporate synergy! Press release quote warning, dead ahead: “As the top-rated network among adults 18-34, Adult Swim consistently delivers young adult audiences to our advertising partners trying to reach that highly-coveted millennial audience,” said Joe Hogan, executive vice president, Young Adult Ad Sales for Turner Broadcasting. “The Adult Swim Fun House is a great example of the kinds of high-impact, unique opportunities we’ve created for our partners that bring them even closer to their desired audience, while remaining on-brand and delivering on our promise to our fans.”

Adult Swim is doing such gangbusters ratings among its target audience of college-aged people and those who prefer to stay young under 34 that it’s expanding its grasp on the Cartoon Network’s programming — starting an hour earlier at 8 p.m. as of March 31.

The Adult Swim Fun House welcomes anyone 18 and older, though. Free tickets (limited supply thereof) will be distributed an hour before it opens daily in each city.

Here’s the schedule for the 2014 college campus tour:

Feb. 20-21: University of California, Riverside — Riverside, CA

March 6-7: University of Arizona — Tucson, AZ

March 20-21: Texas A&M — College Station, TX

March 29-30: Auburn University — Auburn, AL

April 3-4: Florida State University — Tallahassee, FL

April 10-11: Ohio University — Athens, OH

April 16-17: University of Kentucky — Lexington, KY

April 25-26: West Virginia University — Morgantown, WV

May 2-3: University of Delaware — Newark, DE

* The tenth college location will be announced soon.

If you’re not near the tour, you still can go online and enter a contest to design your own custom Adult Swim T-shirt. The network will pick five finalists, put them up to a vote, and pick a winner. Go to: www.adultswimpresents.com.
